Just so people know how easy this is, the filter comes in a tiny little box the one I installed is a FL-223
Here is a picture of how the board looked before installing both the UT-102 and FL223
Now the UT-103 is simply a push to insert module and that is literally all you have to do,this is a simple mating of male to female connectors.
The FL-232 however is equally easy to install as long as you have good lighting. All you have to do is, remember not to remove the insulation sheet on the filter, line the pins up and push, thats it folks.
Remember that to install the filter, you need to then re-assemble the radio, making sure to ground the chassis, then hold LOCK and PWR, this brings up the settings mode, move using the band up / down keys to select menu 9 (if inserted into slot 1) and select the filter you installed, in my case the FL-232. Installing a 2nd filter would just mean going to menu 10 and doing the same. That as they say is the Job Done. To change the filter width go to menu 3 (M3) click briefly on FIL and N should appear, that is the narrow filter, depress it again for slightly longer to get back to wide filter.
