Icom 706Mk IIG fascia repair

Fascia mounted to the Radio

After removing the radio from the car I went to plug the remote head in and the catch and spring had disappeared. So I ordered the parts from ICOM UK, and they where delivered next day at a decent price.

Tool list: 1 x Small Philips screwdriver.

So the next job was to remove the back of the remote head.

When removing the screws, put them somewhere safe, they are black and will blend with everything else. On opening the fascia I found inside the old tab, but it was mangled and there was no sign of the spring.
